Soggy Saturday!

Well I spent the most of the night last night with a 45 pound Border Collie on my head! We had a horrible storm come thru just after midnight, LOTS of lightning, thunder and hard rain. Well our dog, Bonnie, hates lightning and thunder. Is scared to death of it, so she climbs into bed with us and moves from my head to hubby's shaking like a leaf. We turn the TV on and that helps because the flicker of the TV and the sound seems normal. After about a couple of hours it passed and then we all got back to sleep... to a very soggy morning. Must have come down in buckets because it flooded the barn, and even my back porch was soaked. So it was really blowing! But the day looks like it is going to be really pretty... more bad storms predicted for tonight. After my class today I might need a nap! Ok to the card...

I finally had a chance to pull out my new High Hopes Stamps and just played with them. I saw these images and just loved them. I needed some new Get Well images.. and how funny is this one! I stamped the background image and colored it with my Copics, and then matted it with a scrap piece of Black card stock. I distressed the edge... with a knife as I can't find my "tool" it is buried on my desk somewhere. I then stamped the "pot" and the "Dr." and colored them and cut them out. Carefully I placed pop dots behind them, wasn't much to place the dots to on the pot! I pulled out lots of pattern papers, and nothing was working so I just made my own. I used the green Bazzil card stock and then stamped the Rubber Stamp Tapestry Peg leaf stamp over the entire front with Palette Landscape green ink. Simple and it doesn't take away from all the other that is going on. The sentiment I stamped on white, doodled the edges and placed on black and pop dotted as well. I high lighted with a Sakura white glaze pen, and with my Spica Glitter pens. Oh this card just makes me smile... although hubby asked me why a cannibal would be calling a Doctor. (insert rolling eyes here) You did get that he is a Witch Doctor didn't you? Once I told him then he laughed and thought it was funny! Men....

Well have a class today.. gotta get my act together!

Have a Fabulous Saturday!
